Yogasana – the mirrors of our selves
Gent Starting date : 27/05/2017
I began Yoga, when very young thanks largely to my father. My father (who suffers from ankylosing spondylitis) met our Guruji, Yogacharya B K S Iyengar, in 1975 and realised right away that he had met a true healer.
Although Guruji was his last resort, he was the first who gave my father a glimpse of true health. My father not only stayed on but urged his family, including me, to take to yoga.
This initial introduction helped to start me on the path of yoga and after completing my graduation, Yoga became my calling and I committed to teaching it fulltime.
Today, after almost 27 years of teaching Iyengar yoga and learning and travelling with my Guruji to different Iyengar yoga communities the world over, I am deeply aware of the responsibilty to help spread and establish the ethos of yoga.
At present, I run my own yoga centre, Iyengar Yogabhyasa, in Mumbai.

ACCOMMODATION
There are lots of AIRbnb s in Ghent that are nice. A very good suggestion is http://www.rustpunt.net/Verblijven/verblijf_klooster.php which is a bnb with the monks, in the centre of Ghent and it is cheap.
Eva is also collecting email adresses of people that are willing to have somebody staying with them. So we can provide that list to the participants coming from elsewhere and than they can arrange by themselves. You may request this list via this link.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership runs from 1/1 until 31/12. Registration and payment via www.iyengaryoga.be from 1st April 2017.
